France welcomes the UN Normal Meeting’s adoption on December 18 of the decision it launched with Costa Rica establishing the phrases of the third UN Ocean Convention (UNOC 3), which will likely be held in Good in June 2025.
The adoption of this decision by consensus sends a really constructive sign for ocean conservation, which is significant to the planet and essential to the struggle in opposition to local weather change.
Forward of the Good convention, a high-level thematic occasion will likely be held in San José, Costa Rica, on June 7 and eight, 2024, and a preparatory assembly will happen at UN headquarters in New York in July 2024.
