Margery Anne Taylor, President of the Royal British Legion (RBL) Mijas Costa Department, has been awarded an MBE for companies to veterans in Spain.

The popularity, which has been included within the 2024 New Yr Honours record, comes after years of onerous work in varied roles throughout the RBL.

Honour for Margery Taylor

In addition to the President of her native department, Mrs Taylor is a frontline volunteer supporting serving personnel and veterans in instances of want and offering beneficial coaching to volunteers who wish to comply with in her footsteps.

Hugh Elliott, the British Ambassador to Spain, mentioned:  “Margery continues to supply an impressive service to British veterans in southern Spain together with her a number of Royal British Legion roles.

“She embodies the charity’s motto of ‘Service not Self’ and is all the time obtainable to assist its members with enthusiasm, power and dedication. All this tough work over a few years is absolutely deserving of this MBE.”
