The supervisor of Rishi Sunak’s favorite soccer group has delivered a brutal snub to the prime minister.
Sunak was on the St. Mary’s Stadium yesterday to cheer on Southampton as they beat Plymouth Argyle 2-1.
However talking afterwards, Southampton boss Russell Martin mentioned he had “no curiosity” in assembly the PM.
Sunak has typically spoken about his love for the Saints, who’re at the moment third within the Championship.
He was pictured being greeted by fellow supporters at yesterday’s match.
In his post-match interview, Martin was requested if the prime minister had come down to fulfill the group after the sport.
The supervisor replied: “He might need come down, I’ve acquired no real interest in saying ‘whats up sir’. How’s that for honesty?”
Martin was praised on social media for his feedback.
