Consultant Bennie Thompson (D-MS), former chairman of the now-defunct January 6 Choose Committee, mentioned Friday on CNN’s “The Lead” that former President Donald Trump “must endure the results” of his actions surrounding the 2020 election.
At a CNN city corridor, when requested about January 6, Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) mentioned, “That was not a superb day for the nation. The media has taken that. The left has taken that and actually tried to politicize it.”
Anchor Jake Tapper mentioned, “They’ve made this argument that it was not patriotic. This was overblown by Democrats and the media. you might be on the Capitol on January 6. What do you suppose?”
Thompson mentioned, “We had folks defending the Capitol who had been harm, some misplaced their lives. We had workers, folks, myself included, that had been held captive for a number of hours, not capable of depart. So from somebody to attempt to trivialize it’s a disgrace. We’re a greater nation than what occurred on January 6. For somebody to advertise that type of train, and attempt to defend it, is a tragic day.”

They don’t deserve the correct to advertise patriotism on this nation. I’m satisfied that in the long run the folks will converse.
