Uganda: Commonwealth Audio system tour Parliament

Speaker of Parliament, Anita Amongst and her Deputy, Thomas Tayebwa led delegates attending the Convention of Audio system and Presiding Officers of the Commonwealth (CSPOC) on a guided tour of the Parliament constructing.

Amongst addressed the varied Audio system and Presiding Officers within the Chamber, the place she thanked them for honouring the invitation to attend CSPOC.
“It means quite a bit to us as a result of most Members of Parliament are new, so that is an achievement for them,” stated Amongst.

She stated that collectively along with her Deputy, they’ve fostered an excellent working relationship with MPs.

The delegates had been guided on the tour to the creche, health centre and the Members’ lounge.

The Speaker will later host the delegates to a dinner at Ndere Cultural centre in Kampala.

The twenty seventh Convention of Audio system and Presiding Officers of the Commonwealth was opened by President Yoweri Museveni on Thursday, 04 January 2024 on the Munyonyo Commonwealth Resort.

The primary theme of the CSPOC is to foster and encourage equity on the a part of audio system and presiding officers of the Commonwealth.
