As a part of its ongoing efforts in humanitarian assist, the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) on Thursday donated reduction meals to households in Bulobarde, Central area of Somalia, who have been affected by the latest El Nino-induced floods.
The donations, which included important objects equivalent to sugar, rice, wheat flour and cooking oil, amongst others, have been supplied by Djibouti Armed Forces troops serving with ATMIS.
Col. Stated Waberi Harour, the Sector 4 Commander who presided over the meals distribution, lauded the Djibouti Armed Forces troopers for his or her dedication to supporting affected households locally.
“I commend Djibouti troops for his or her sacrifice and compassion in sharing a portion of their meals rations with the Somali individuals devastated by the floods alongside River Shabelle,” stated Col Harour.
