Guelph police say they arrested a person who they are saying assaulted and disarmed an officer at a neighborhood hospital Monday.
Investigators mentioned a person ran from a room Monday whereas he was being handled in Guelph Common Hospital.
The person pushed a door open, and it hit a police officer within the chest, knocking her to the bottom.
Police mentioned the person briefly had management of the officer’s taser earlier than he was taken to the ground and disarmed.
The officer reportedly injured her shoulder and wanted medical therapy.
Police arrested the 28-year-old on Saturday after he was launched from the hospital.
He has a court docket date scheduled for Mar. 1.
