Clashes broke out between members of two caste teams on Thursday after a statue of former Deputy Prime Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was allegedly vandalised in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain district, PTI reported.
The incident passed off in Makdone, situated about 50 kms from Ujjain metropolis.
Members of the Patidar group, a part of the Different Backward Lessons, wished to put in a statue of Patel, a Patidar icon, at a bus terminal within the space, in line with NDTV.
