Neemuch (Madhya Pradesh): Persevering with their crackdown on unlawful drug enterprise, a group of Central Bureau of Narcotics (CBN), Neemuch, on Monday, intercepted a truck on the Mandsaur-Ratlam freeway, close to Daloda teshil in Mandsaur and seized a complete of 152 baggage of poppy straw weighing 3,063.6 kg.
After receiving particular intelligence {that a} truck having Punjab registration can be carrying an enormous amount of poppy straw from Mandsaur space to Punjab, a group of officers of CBN Neemuch was fashioned and dispatched in on Sunday.
Strict surveillance on the suspected route was saved and after the profitable identification of the car by CBN officers, the truck was intercepted on the Mandsaur- Ratlam freeway. The truck was carrying cattle feed baggage as cowl cargo. On sustained questioning, the motive force revealed that poppy straw was loaded within the truck.
Because it was not potential to go looking the truck on spot owing to safety causes, it was delivered to the CBN workplace. The truck was totally searched and a complete of 152 baggage of poppy straw weighing 3,063.6 kg have been recovered.
After completion of authorized formalities, the recovered poppy straw together with the truck and cattle feed have been seized and two individuals have been arrested below the related provisions of the NDPS Act, 1985. Additional investigation is below progress.
