Air & Sea Search off Marbella

The search continues for 2 younger males who despatched out a request for assist after the motor on their boat packed up leaving them on the mercy of the currents.

AND S&R LaunchThis occurred off the coast of Marbella Tuesday night.

Salvamento Marítimo mobilised their rescue launch, Salvamar Alnitak at 09.00h Saturday morning, working in the direction of the realm in entrance of Caleta de Vélez (Vélez-Málaga), as much as 5 nautical miles out to sea.

The 2 males, aged 26 and 31, the place crusing off Cabopino when their engine broke down so they despatched out a misery name at 20.23h Tuesday evening. They have been in a 6.5m lengthy, fibre-hull boat with the title of Budión.

Guardia Civil items checked close by ports and marinas to see if that they had managed to achieve land while the search continued out to sea.

The Centro de Salvamento Marítimo (CCS) in Tarifa mobilised that night and the following morning, rescue launches Salvamar Gadir, Salvamar Alnitak and Salvamar Hamal, in addition to air-sea-rescue helicopters, Helimer 223 and Helimer 207.

The search continued into Sunday however on the time of writing we have now no stories on sightings or continued S&R missions.
