Police have seized a batch of 28 faux artworks purporting to be by famend artists together with Picasso, Miró, Lowry, Gaugin and Matisse, amongst others, the regional authorities introduced on Wednesday.
The images have been being supplied on the market on-line.
Consultants who analysed them discovered that, as a way to make the deceit extra convincing, all of them included the falsified signatures of the unique artists and eight have been accompanied by certificates of authenticity.
