Texas man hit by stray bullet throughout New 12 months’s celebration

The brand new 12 months began on a bitter word for one Texas man after he was hit by a stray bullet whereas celebrating with family and friends.

Frederico Perez, a father of three, was ringing in 2024 with family and friends when a stray bullet abruptly hit his leg.

“We began to listen to a lot of gunfire, a lot of pops. Fireworks and gunshots,” Perez advised FOX 4.

Within the dwelling surveillance video, Perez was seen having fun with a pit hearth with family and friends till issues took a flip, and he was hit with the bullet.

“I felt the impression right here,” Perez stated, pointing to his leg.

Perez stated that “every little thing modified” after he seemed down at his leg and felt a stinging sensation.

“In a matter of seconds, every little thing modified,” Perez advised the native station. “The occasion was over, every little thing stopped, no hugs.”

Perez stated that together with the ache from being shot, there was blood in all places following the incident.

Perez stated that he was grateful to be alive and grateful it didn’t hit another person.

“If it was just a little over that means it might’ve hit the little woman or if just a little this fashion, it could’ve gotten me within the head,” Perez stated.

Perez stated that a part of the bullet continues to be in his shin and that he’s dissatisfied to be out of labor because of the accident.

“It went from pleasure to unhappiness,” he stated.

The Fort Value Police Division is investigating the incident.
