Amalija Knavs, the mom of former first woman Melania Trump, has died on the age of 78.
The previous first woman introduced the information of her mom’s passing on the social media platform X on Tuesday night time. She didn’t give a reason behind demise.
“It’s with deep disappointment that I announce the passing of my beloved mom, Amalija. Amalija Knavs was a powerful girl who at all times carried herself with grace, heat, and dignity,” Melania Trump posted to her X account, the platform previously often called Twitter.
“She was fully dedicated to her husband, daughters, grandson, and son-in-law. We’ll miss her past measure and proceed to honor and love her legacy,” she added.

In accordance with CBS Information, Knavs was born in Slovenia in 1945 when it was underneath Communist rule. She married her husband, Viktor, in 1970.
“Melanija attended highschool within the Slovenian capital, Ljubljana, and adjusted her identify to Melania Knauss when she began modeling,” it added. “She married then-real property mogul Donald Trump in 2005, and their son Barron was born in 2006.”
Each Knavs and Viktor grew to become U.S. residents in 2018 and reportedly spent the previous couple of years residing at Mar-a-Lago.
As Breitbart Information reported, the media incorrectly speculated as to why Melania Trump had not been current together with her husband, Donald, throughout Christmas celebrations. It was later revealed she had been caring for her ailing mom.
“Former first woman Melania Trump was together with her ailing mom on Christmas, fixing the thriller of her lack of look in a Christmas picture that includes members of the Trump household,” stated the report.
“The institution media and anti-Trumpers have been thirsty for a household scandal after they observed that Melania was not included within the Trump household Christmas images. A few of them claimed this was additional proof that Melania is sad with Trump and leaving his facet,” it added.
