Uganda: President Museveni in Zanzibar

President Yoweri Museveni has arrived in Zanzibar on the invitation of Her Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, the Tanzanian President, to attend the sixtieth Anniversary Celebrations of the Zanzibar Revolution.

The President was acquired at Abeid Amani Karume Worldwide Airport in Zanzibar by Dr. Khalid Salum Mohammed, the Tanzanian Minister of Development and Communications. Additionally current on the airport to welcome President Museveni had been Uganda’s Excessive Commissioner to Tanzania, Rtd. Col. Fred Mwesigye, and his deputy, Maj. Gen. Geoffrey Muheesi, together with the Protection Attaché on the Uganda Excessive Fee in Tanzania, Brigadier Ronald Bigirwa. Zanzibar, together with some surrounding islands referred to as the Spice Islands because of their manufacturing of cloves, cinnamon, black pepper, amongst others, is semi-autonomous inside the Union. It has its personal authorities led by Dr. Hussein Ali. A number of dignitaries, together with East African leaders, have been invited to grace the colourful ceremony that may happen at Amani Stadium in Zanzibar.
