Italy’s museums open free of charge on first Sunday of every month.
State museums and archaeological websites in Rome and throughout Italy will open their doorways free of charge on Sunday 7 January as a part of the month-to-month Domenica al Museo initiative.
The nationwide Domenica al Museo scheme, launched in 2014, is held each first Sunday of the month in tandem with the month-to-month free entry for Rome’s municipal museums.
