Italy approves powerful new legislation towards ‘eco-vandals’

Transfer follows spate of protests by activists focusing on Italian cultural landmarks to attract consideration to local weather disaster.

The Italian parliament on Thursday permitted powerful new penalties on those that injury or deface monuments and heritage websites, because the right-wing authorities clamps down on so-called eco-vandals.
