Firefighters and artists rushed to avoid wasting artworks after a hearth on the Nationwide Gallery of Work in Sukhumi, the executive heart of Georgia’s breakaway area of Abkhazia, on January 21. The area’s authorities say that greater than 4,000 work — virtually all the assortment — have been destroyed within the blaze. Firefighters suspect the trigger was a brief circuit.
